Superb waterbed heater made in Sweden

This is my ninth heater in 30 years. Shipped flat! Most of the heaters I've come across are rolled up and I need to straighten them out. All instructions are printed directly on the device. But it also comes with a booklet. If you look at it you can see the wiring of the heating element. Unlike most heaters, the thermostat is built into the unit. The controller specifies a temperature range: High, Medium, Low - I'll have to study their documentation to understand what that means. The LED on the

So bad it's scary.: Mattresses and box springs

I'm giving 2 stars because it heats my bed. It's nice that it turned out flat and not folded. BUT - While it was on all the time to heat the bed first, the back of the controller got EXTREMELY HOT. I mean the fire hazard is hot. It's too hot to even think about putting it on the bed so I put it upside down in the corner with a fan on it. Now that the bed is up to temp (and who knows what that is) it's better, but still warm. I refused to install the controller. I wonder why I was so hot lastโ€ฆ

Failed after 5 months

I originally bought this heater in January 2017 in anticipation of the day when we would need to lay new carpet and disassemble/reassemble my favorite waterbed for sleeping. We didn't touch the new carpet until October 2017 so this heater was installed. Well, it's March 2018 and the heating is completely out of order. The controller shows that it is on, but there is no heating. I won't even bother with a guarantee because #1 is a piece of crap and #2 doesn't want to take apart and refill theโ€ฆ

Bought around 9/1/19

I am writing this review after 3 weeks from the memory of other reviews. The heating works perfectly. The cord was long enough to go from the middle of the bed to the knees and to the top corner. It was on a big bed. The light is difficult to see and has no degrees on the thermostat control. What I don't care if it's warm just stop, if it's cold just turn it on until the light comes on. I remembered someone saying it took three weeks to heat up their waterbed. Connect a garden hose adapter toโ€ฆ

Works well so far for bedroom furniture

Bought to replace a heater I've only had 2 years. This is a different brand and style than any water heater I have ever owned. I think it was made in Sweden. Very thin and has its own built in thermometer so no copper wire or thermometer to lay aside. You have to place the heater at the foot of the bed, which was a bit of a pain as I had to run a cord to the head of the bed to connect it to the wall. Luckily the cable is really long. The controller has to be mounted on a frame and according toโ€ฆ

Reliable Solid State Heater Performance

I had a unit that worked fine for 30 years and I only replaced it because I replaced everything and figured I should replace that too, but it worked great. Unfortunately, the device I replaced it with (recommended here, but not a solid state device) was intermittently defective, resulting in a few bad colds for me, despite everything being wired correctly etc. So I bought it this one, like everyone else. Connections are solid - no plugging and unplugging - hoping this solves the problem I wasโ€ฆ

Cheap so no frills

Update: Although they advertise it as more powerful (at 25w), I have my doubts. It went up to 85 degrees pretty quickly, but to me it's just "neutral" (neither warm nor cold). In winter I got used to 91-92 degrees, but it seems that it will not come to that. It took about 20 hours to go from 85 to 86 degrees at the highest setting. To be honest I will give it a few more days before sending it back and buying the same 300w model as my previous one. It took less than an hour or so to increase byโ€ฆ
