I'm giving 2 stars because it heats my bed. It's nice that it turned out flat and not folded. BUT - While it was on all the time to heat the bed first, the back of the controller got EXTREMELY HOT. I mean the fire hazard is hot. It's too hot to even think about putting it on the bed so I put it upside down in the corner with a fan on it. I am writing this review after 3 weeks from the memory of other reviews. The heating works perfectly. The cord was long enough to go from the middle of the bed to the knees and to the top corner. Bought to replace a heater I've only had 2 years. This is a different brand and style than any water heater I have ever owned. I think it was made in Sweden. Very thin and has its own built in thermometer so no copper wire or thermometer to lay aside. Update: Although they advertise it as more powerful (at 25w), I have my doubts. It went up to 85 degrees pretty quickly, but to me it's just "neutral" (neither warm nor cold). In winter I got used to 91-92 degrees, but it seems that it will not come to that. It took about 20 hours to go from 85 to 86 degrees at the highest setting.
