Review on πŸ”’ Stash-it Diversion Water Bottle Can Safe: Stainless Steel Tumbler with Hidden Money Compartment - Ideal Travel or Home Decoy for Valuables by Shawn Jacobs

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Universal concept, room for improvement.

travelers know that it is best never to carry all your valuables in one place. To that end, I have a few different safes that I store jewelry, money, and other things in when I'm on the go. What sets him apart is his completely harmless looks; there will never be a situation where it is inappropriate. I got it to drive; Stick it in your cup holder and who knows what treasure you've hidden in plain sight! Five stars for the concept! However, the performance leaves a lot to be desired. It's still fairly heavy, but not as heavy as my stainless steel water bottle (taking into account the size differences). The top cover is lined with plastic and looks cheap/rough. The storage compartment is spacious, but the metal floor is weak. Mine also has very sharp metal shavings still clinging to the bottom edge (like when your can opener doesn't make a clean cut) that need fixing. There's also some surface rust and a messy looking residue in the lower shelf area. I'm not exactly sure how well it will hold up to the rigors of travel, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. In the spirit of science, I gave it to my friend and she didn't notice anything unusual about it. As she held it, I noticed that the lower carving was clearly visible. It doesn't make you think the distraction is safe, but it does look a little wonky. In an ideal world, this would be made of heavier metal, quality control standards would be a little higher, and the lower threads would be hidden. Hope that helps.
