United Airlines no longer allows emotional support pets so after much research I bought them to carry my Italian greyhound. He weighs about 13 pounds. There is a strap that goes over your suitcase so I didn't have to carry it around with one arm. The carrier goes well with the seed - it has some flexibility. It has a soft fleece lining over a hardboard bottom to keep it from sagging at all. My dog could see from three directions, so he stayed calmer. He tried but couldn't get out from the top where the zippers closed. During the flight I let him stick his head out but he didn't come out of the trunk. This Sherpa is a great product when traveling on airlines with your pet. I took a larger size because Iggy has long legs. However, he could not get up in it.
