I am a nanny to a 5 month old baby. For Christmas I thought it would be nice to give her parents casts of her hands and feet. I had no idea what product/set to buy from Revain. I studied, read reviews and watched videos on YouTube. In the end, I settled on the Baby Mushroom company. I am very happy with my choice. That's why. I really liked the material from which it was made. Not sticky or messy. When printing, you have to press hard. The toes are particularly healing. It's very difficult to get a lot of foot details like lines and wrinkles, so don't be disappointed. The best part is that if you mess up, you can roll it back up! That convinced me to try this particular product. Although I have to say I'm not sure how often this will work. I did it once and it was a bit tricky and it took me patience to smooth the material back out with no lines or wrinkles, but it's possible. After much deliberation, I painted mine with acrylic paint. I waited 24 hours for it to dry. then painted. It really made it stand out and looked finished. I was so glad I did. It turned out as I hoped and was easy to paint on due to the smooth material. Although the material is white, I painted everything except the prints myself with white acrylic paint. It made it smooth and I liked the texture it gave. After the paint was dry I used a clear glaze and sprayed it on. It protects and gives shine. Looking back, I wish I had used a finer pen to write her name and date. I'm not a fan of my print so that might be part of it. 🥴 In general, the product is easy to use, and if you have any questions, write "mushroom" on Facebook. I was amazed and so impressed. I received a reply from them that evening and she was sooooo nice, encouraging and willing to do anything to make me happy with the product. This along with the product makes me highly recommend this company. Anyone trying to decide which company/product to use for hand/footprints, I would use this one!
