I'm so glad we found this and bought it. It was worth every penny. we have twins Soon the usual playpen (pack and play) became too small, but they cannot take the separation. It was a magical decision. I can put them in and know they're safe for a while (to take a bath, work on dinner, etc.). They are a year old and all 8 panels are still big enough to move around and play with. It has enough space for our older children to get in and play too. Other reviewers mentioned a door/gate so I didn't have high hopes for that. I have the same problem that others have mentioned (hard to open, almost impossible to close once you open it) so we just don't use it. We climb over the board. My 7 year old daughter's legs aren't long enough to walk the whole way so she drags the stool to the edge. So she can get in and out. (The stool is only outside because a baby at 8 months learned to climb on it! Oh I had a heart attack!) A nice feature is that you can resize it as needed. For some time we were rearranging the furniture for repair and there wasn't that much space. In that time we only used 6 out of 8 panels for a smaller area. I was glad it was possible.
