Bought this for my 10 year old daughter for Christmas. She asked for an "old-fashioned" typewriter. I wasn't sure what I would get given some of the reviews but I'm impressed. That's the real deal. I'm in my 40's and in high school I took typing lessons on a manual typewriter like this one and I remember having one at my grandma's house. modern computers), but a functionally working manual typewriter. It is durable and looks well made. You won't be typing "War and Peace" on this thing (if you type too fast, the letter keys can interfere with each other and get stuck), but for a writing or crafting project. , that will get the job done.
