Review on ๐ŸŒก๏ธ Sunnytech Educational Stirling Engine for Temperature Understanding by Sri Wells

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great little Stirling engine. Running away from the warmth of my hand compared to the air conditioning.

This motor consisted of two parts, a wheel and all. He came and I went to the post office. I stopped in the parking lot and picked it up. It involves engaging the two connecting rods on the offset crank. You have to look at the steering wheel. One side is closer to the wheel than the other and if you look you can see that one line lines up with the displacer and the other line lines up with the power piston (the power piston is small. They snap. No). Tools are required. After snapping the crank in, I took the motor in my hand and placed it in front of the vent so the air conditioning was blowing from the top and my hand was down, maybe 20F. temperature difference. After a minute I let it run up and it started. It ran slowly, about 60 rpm. But it worked. Due to the temperature difference between my hand and the air conditioner vent. I have a sous vide machine that supports 160 F and has a plastic lid to slow evaporation. I put it on a heated container. And after a short while I cranked the engine and it started. I decided I wanted more speed so I put a sealed zippered bag of crushed ice on top, the speed should have reached 300 RPM. in hour. It runs at around 70rpm (just a guess, a little faster than I would count seconds). The fit and finish is better than I expected when looking at the picture. The engine is useless except to demonstrate physics. I've wanted something like this for a while, but I've never wanted to spend more than it's worth on something that's just a toy. But it's a lot cheaper. It works. He's brilliant.

Pros
  • AN AWESOME SMART THING WITH THE HIGHEST QUALITY BUILD THAT WORKS LIKE A DREAM ---- The Stirling engine is made of high quality materials and elegant workmanship. This Stirling engine uses highly polished stainless steel for the base, glass cylinder liner and zinc alloy flywheel. All parts have been surface treated to prevent rust. oil free
Cons
  • Mostly ok, but...
