Very thin glass. I've used it a couple of times with hot tea but I let the tea sit for a while before filling it because I just don't trust it. I've seen better quality glasses that weren't made for hot tea. It hasn't broken or exploded yet, but I pray every time I pour something hot into it. Purchase at your own risk. Like I said, to be fair, it didn't explode, but I'm very careful not to use a lot of hot tea.
