The original plastic housing for my retainer was intended as a reservoir but was much deeper/thicker than needed, about 1 1/2 inches. Although the new case is about the same size as the old one, the case is thinner but still easily accommodates two of my retainers. I have attached two photos for your review. This case also had about twice as many vents as my original case, which I liked. The blue hue is actually a bit darker than the case shown in the ad, but I actually prefer that hue. Overall I'm very happy with the fit, color and smaller size. This will definitely save some space in my dopp kit. While the new case appears sturdy, it is not as thick as my original case and only time will tell in that regard. For five euros, I am satisfied with my investment and can recommend the product.
