These are REALLY smart boxes. If you are into landscape lighting or high voltage outdoor speaker systems these are great. They are best used when you need to drive something from the source (such as an amplifier or light transformer) and want a tap. They wouldn't be as useful if you need to do loops or something like that. Note that they barely fit the 16AWG wire for direct outdoor penetration. However, this is my own problem as I could have chosen a thicker wire. Great purchase and really useful for direct burial.
