The bottom shelf is not adjustable. So if you get up and use the bottom shelf for a laptop and the top shelf for a projector, that won't work. The bottom shelf is about the right level if you want to sit and use the laptop on the bottom shelf. The top shelf assembly didn't work for me until I taped the two plastic pieces that grip the tube to ensure proper orientation for inserting the two screws. I was pleased that not only can you adjust the height of the top shelf, but you can also adjust the top shelf to be flat and pointing a few degrees down or a few degrees up. Very useful when trying to point the projector at the screen. I wish it was a different color than black! Overall grade 4-.
