Review on 🎧 Sony DE451 Discman: Ultimate Portable CD Player with Superior Sound Quality by Cesar Carter

This Discman does its job well. I bought this to replace a 1994 Panasonic portable CD player and was pleasantly surprised at how much better it is. Battery life is MUCH longer. I didn't really count, but the claimed 16-hour battery life sounds something like that. I used to always use the Panasonic power supply, but I don't even bother with this discman. ESP works great to prevent jumping and even without ESP it rarely jumps under normal conditions (my old player jumped all the time, especially in the car). The sound is great. There are two bass settings, Megabass and Groove. I find the groove TOO bass heavy, but the mega bass is just right. The only feature I really miss is the display backlight when plugged in. Panasonic had it, and it made it a lot easier to use the player in the car at night. Even if you press pause, the player will beep regularly and frequently. That's good because you don't accidentally stop it and eat up all of the battery life, but it's really annoying when you stop it to talk to someone and you keep hearing that beep.
