Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is so good in my rating.

Review (AOC CQ27G1 27 inch Curved) It's hard to choose a monitor when so many factors go into choosing a good monitor. I was concerned this would be a downgrade as I'm used to an entry-level 'photographic' monitor. , the venerable HP LP2475W. But I was so wrong, this "cheap" AOC was better in almost every way. The black quality, while certainly not OLED, is GREAT and noticeably better than the TN/IPS I've seen, there's no noticeable backlight blur in a lit room (I only use this in a lit room, never in the dark) and it's more than bright enough to work with lights (I don't use it in sunlight so IDK on that), after all, high refresh rate speed is really important for gaming. While resolution is good for gaming and media, 720 isn't vision They look so great, poorly upscaled scalable games look great, text is too small for middle aged eyes and older games that have UIs that scale. break pretty bad. The only thing I don't like about this monitor is that I zoomed in on almost every web page by 150% (at 2.5 feet). The little red trim on the bottom pops off very easily, and the instructions that there are only certain places to grab or move the monitor are a little disconcerting. If you have an old, expensive monitor, this new "cheap" will probably be a great upgrade. PS "FreeSync" worked great with my Nvidia RTX 2070S for people with Nvidia cards who may be interested.
