I use it for my laptop at home. I would also use it for travel if I didn't already have a siker that still works fine but I bought two to make sure I have a spare if I need another. It's very compact and the only downside I would say is that it only has one vertical position. Although I like it! In addition, it has an integrated palm rest, which is very convenient. There is one mysterious thing: there is a panel at the bottom that can be removed and a bit of space inside. I don't know what it's for, but I think I could hide something like a very small wad of bills! (It's a handy size: 4" wide x 1/2" deep. Just make sure you have the right pocket knife to open it. The panel says "open".) Absolutely it has two switches for fan so you can work with it. just three or all five and two USB ports, one for powering the device and one for powering other things, for example you might be able to charge a tablet if the device is AC powered like mine. (I mostly use the AC adapter so my laptop can do what I want without interfering with other things). So the computer stays in place.
