Works great for what I wanted. The green LED also turns to amber, which is what I'm using. I wanted to attach it to an open spot on the dashboard with velcro and I wanted it to be flat. For this I wanted to remove the base bracket that the clock is attached to. If you want to do this, there is a Phillips head screw in the battery compartment and you can pry off the front panel with a flat head screwdriver. The stand is attached with a small Phillips screw. Not sure about the other colors of the watches sold, but this one had a green "beauty pocket" sandwiched between the front and back. I also removed it, leaving a small gap that I don't notice. So everything looks black. I also decided to plug this in so I didn't have to plug it in every time I wanted to use it. It has small batteries to save memory when it's off. As others have mentioned the wiring is sparse so I bought some wire to connect to my fuse box. The watch works well and for such a price I can replace it if it doesn't work. I have chosen not to run an external temporary cable as I already have that option in my car. The amber lighting isn't too bright for me at night compared to other colors. If my photo I posted is showing sideways, I'm not sure why it did.
