Review on 🚲 Ibera Easy Utility Bicycle Stand for Adjustable Height, Foldable Mechanic Repair Rack Bike Stand with Convenient Bicycle Storage by Mandy Rodriguez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Simple, small, inexpensive, but still done.

I needed some sort of mechanical stand for my Specialized Rockhopper (2010) for setup, cleaning and adjustment as I was tired of standing upside down with the bike. I didn't want to go out and spend $200 on a Park Tools mechanic's stand since I wouldn't have room for one in my apartment if I wanted to. I've looked at other fake Park Tools that cost less than fifty dollars but their reviews were just terrible, which isn't surprising. I was thinking of making my own design out of gas pipes or PVC but then I stumbled across this little beauty. It's tiny and inexpensive, but strong enough for the type of repair I'm going to be doing (i.e. derailleur baseline, gear cleaning, chain cleaning, etc.). Once the bike's chainstays are installed in small industrial grade plastic mounts and the included rubber O-rings are secured over each side, the bike really has nowhere to go and all of the bike's moving parts move freely. You can even take the bike with the kickstand attached and move it around as needed. I rarely buy items that don't have reviews but I got lucky with this one and I hope other people can try it based on my experience with this item. The only thing I could change is to add rubber feet to the bottom of the curved metal feet to prevent powdercoating/paint damage and rusting, and maybe widen the base a bit to increase stability even more. These are minor changes that will not affect the item's existing functionality, but will likely improve it overall. I won't distract from the reviews as most likely it will have its current low price and keep it at base levels. I am very happy with my purchase as I would have spent so much money on tubes and supplies for my own DIY version. which I wanted to make from scratch. Also, I saved a lot of time. FYI: The plastic chainstay mounts shown here in black are actually red: the bike is in place. Probably a good contrast to the item pictured.
