To be honest, I have a very mixed opinion of my Desk Potato. When we bought our new table I was very excited. It was the first time in my life that I actually had a GOOD table. The only problem, however, was that with my gaming keyboard, I couldn't fit the mouse in the keyboard drawer. It didn't take long for us to realize that I couldn't play with a keyboard in my desk drawer and a mouse on my desk, so we bought desktop potatoes. So first for the good. The height of the Desk Potato once installed is perfect. Of course, it sits at the same height as my keyboard, which makes using the mouse very easy. Also, it was very easy to install. While this may seem like a wash, I also like that I can put a harder mouse pad on top of the potatoes. This makes it a bit more stable in my opinion and gives me more wrist support. Now the biggest downside is also the most disappointing. It won't stay on your table. It falls off very easily when using the device and falls off immediately on impact. With two large dogs in the house, this happens all the time. Finally, to protect my table, I placed a cloth between my table and the stand as we were concerned that this would damage my table. If it were a tighter fit on the table it probably wouldn't be an issue, but it doesn't seem to maintain its settings over time. Since this is still the best option we've seen so far, I can't see us. Get rid of ware potatoes soon.
