I had to youtube to find this out after a hammer and screw driver did nothing.2. There is a rubber ring around this to seal the unit against water seeping in. This fell off in 2 seconds.Me, I am lucky my light is protected by an overhand. The light once installed is a very nice not to bright, not to dull very nice lighting effect.One thing I didn't like is I was simply replacing an older light with the round mounting box you see on most lights. This was awkward as other lights I put on my outdoor of my house all fit nicely. This light screw holes didn't link up with my setup. I had to rig it differently .That all said, in the end I love this light.
