I originally had a tensioner I 3d printed. I thought it worked surprisingly well and it did.until it didnt. Woke up to a ruined print:( Decided from then on that for any kind of structural component I would go with an actual metal part. I like the quality of this version its not just stamped sheet metal but an actual beefy part. Also like the wuality of thr toothed sprocket (another reviewer stated rhat havjng two sprokets like this on the same belt would lead to premature earing as they wouldnt both line up on the teeth, but as of yet that had not been my experience. Seems like it lrovides a secure grab on the belt.). Quick and simple install and a great little upgrade for your printer! Have yet to install the y-axis version but it seems equally well built. Go ahead and buy x and y axis together as itll save $$$ and if you get one your gonna eventually want the other!
