Review on KEEN Big Kid (8-12 Years) Newport H2 Sandal - Blue Depths/Gargoyle, Size 6 M US Big Kid by Michael Boyce

I have been ordering sandals in this style for my two children for many years. I'm struggling to find the right fit with their sizing. This year was no exception. My son is 10 and wears size 6 shoes. We ordered a size 6 in Blue Depths. His toes didn't quite reach, and there was quite a bit of room around the outside of the foot, even for his slightly wider than usual foot. To get the shoe tight enough, he had to pull the laces out too far, which showed too much of the lacing. The Velcro didn't fit snugly enough around the toe of his foot. The fit is wide. My son has never had a problem with shoes that are too wide and they were definitely both too wide and too long. We didn't even try to send them back for an exchange. I wouldn't know what size to order for them to fit properly.
