It turned out that all SanDisk flash drives automatically activate the write protection mode. It is stated on the website of this amazing company, where I first went, that their magical chip decides when to safeguard the flash drive from writing and that no one, not even the manufacturer, is able to remove this protection later. Fortunately, it ceased functioning after the first inclusion. Yet, a thousand would end up in the trash if I purchased it, for instance, in another city, at a closed kiosk, or by accident lost the check. It was both my first and final SanDisk flash drive.
