Works as intended for computer accessories and peripherals

In short, they work exactly as they should. I would definitely repeat them if I need more. The transparent material makes it easy to check the order of the wires once inserted, so you know they're correct before you crimp. Of course, your eyes have to work well enough for that. See my pictures for examples. You put the wires in the right order and plug them into the connector. He guides each wire into its place. I installed 24 pieces in a row and checked each one with a tester; I had no problems. The crimp engages the pins and the other piece on the back locks the larger wire in place. You can use it with or without the extra support end, but I don't see why you wouldn't. If you use it, then insert it before crimping, and crimping also connects the two parts together. The support end is semi-flexible where it wraps around the wire, but rigid where it snaps onto the end of the connector. I have attached a video of the insertion and crimping. I simply skipped the only difficult part of the operation, namely separating, straightening and then organizing the wires. This does not affect the performance of this product, but trust me when I tell you that this is the most important part of a job well done. Depending on the order in which they are laid, the wires are guided to their final position. If one (or more) of the wires has a kink at the end, or they don't lay flat and evenly next to each other, or there's a gap, etc., then they're probably/most likely going in the wrong slot. A nice feature of the transparent connector, as I mentioned above, is that you can see that the top row (opposite the pins) is fully colored, while the bottom row is fully striped. This assumes you did the same left-to-right order (standard T568B order) as I did. The crimping tool and wire tester I used (the wire tester wasn't in the video) both worked fine; You don't have to spend a lot of money on expensive ones.
