These protectors are a great choice for trail riding. You'll probably want something more powerful for mostly enduro/downhill, but for general trail they were great. They were a bit tight when I first put them on, but by the end of that first ride I forgot I was wearing them. The protectors hold well and do not slip. The fabric is very breathable around the foot and even the pads have ventilation holes in important places. No problems with them even when temps hit 80-80 F. Haven't crashed with them yet so can't comment on their performance on that front but otherwise they've been solid over the last month. . The pins on my flat pedals and tassels/branches along the trails held up well. Highly recommended!===================== After 10 months of use: I still love these pads. The fabric now has a few scuffs from collisions and/or pedal hits, but the holes stay in place and don't work. You are still without problems. Comfortable enough, I wear them on every trip. The padding did its job well in crashes and kept my knees intact, including an accident that broke my handlebars and put me out for 6 weeks with a rib injury. I was so pleased with them that I bought a spare set in case they ever need to be replaced. That day hasn't come yet, but I'll be ready with a backup when the time comes :)
