Bought these for a change, they looked (and IS) solid + the price was great. Solid wood handles, but the ends are not rounded, so don't use the handles for nooks and crannies. But the variety makes up for that, and then something else. I say that they are not perfect for two reasons. 1, the middle roller has no bearings, it is just a continuous bolt roller. The other 4 have good quality bearings to ride on but 1 of mine doesn't. Also, the largest roller did not have large flat-topped ribs. Difficult to explain but almost used up. Overall, considering the heavy strong metal reels, wood handles, variety of sizes and price points, to me it makes up for the groove issues on the 1 and the lack of bearings on the 1, if a bit disappointing.
