We were very satisfied with this socket and the charging unit of the device. Bought 3 different brands in early December 2020 and this was my favorite. So I bought a second device a month ago - this time it was one of the warehouse deals. The box was damaged but luckily for me the item itself was just as good and reliable as the one I paid full price for. I'll probably buy 1-3 more for other parts of the house and maybe a carport. The quality is very good, especially for the price and the extra protections! I believe this has some sort of dust protection as well, although I'm not sure how it works internally other than the surge protector? But I'm glad about that, mostly because I found an older surge protector and it kinda melted like black smoke from a dust accumulation behind the entertainment center which was also in front of our dirty dog beds and they'll always tremble in there! Don't worry I've since attacked and deep cleaned everything in that entire area and redid all the cable management back there! lol Another of the brands I bought in December stopped working and I have no idea why! It was in a clean area, but when I wanted to move it to a new area it lost power at all - a waste of money. Same brand (I've had 2 of these since I bought him on sale) our 2 year old male Doberman decided to just chew on his cord so he died too but obviously for a good reason and I'm just glad that he didn't do it. not chewing well (I think he knew it!).
