This ironing board pad is the best I have ever had. I have starched and ironed my husband's clothes for twenty years, always using the interlinings that were sewn into the covers. I have always bought Wal-Mart and Target products, but this product is superior to what they sell. I never thought that buying something online is so much better than what you can find in a brick-and-mortar store. I would advise anyone who irons frequently to get this rug as it is definitely doing what it was made for which is to cushion the surface underneath the cover. It is sewn and quilted very thick. It's a shame that I didn't know about this product for a long time. I also purchased a Ritz Professional ironing board cover to use with this pad and also reviewed this item on amazon.com. The only caveat I would like to make is that some poorly made cases may not fit. So either buy a Ritz case or one that you know is the right length and width. I have a standard 54" x 14.5" ironing board that I bought at Wal-Mart and it fits perfectly.
