Review on Coldest Water Insulated Stainless Thermos Kitchen & Dining by Marco Wilson

Super freaking disappointment - don't buy!

Okay I researched the crap of insulated water bottles and picked this one as the best of them all, I came home very excited to unbox it and finally get a cold water bottle again (my last one is jumped off my bullshit didn't survive, it was a cheap brand from Wal-Mart, I wasn't too heartbroken) and I opened it up and was struck by its glossy smoothness. Here the awe ended. I unscrewed the cap and the straw was obviously too long for the bottle and everything in the bottle was bent. I thought it was ok, I mean all the science that went into it right? I filled it almost completely with ice (the instructions say to fill to the brim but I ran out of ice, how interesting!) and filled it with deliciously cold water from my Brita toilet and got even more aroused. And then that stupid curved straw doesn't reach the bottom of the bottle, and not even a quarter! You'd think they would build a rigid straw to get to the bottom where it should be as the instructions say to fill it with ice! No, no, they didn't think about it. My brand, Wal-Mart, has certainly thought about it. So I lower the straw to the floor and wait for the ice cream to melt a little and separate. and struggles to unscrew the cap (pretty sure the straw is too long, or it really isn't stiff enough to be able to do a turn and a half with ice to screw the cap back on). But no matter, I am determined to enjoy the ice water with childlike pleasure! Is there ice at the bottom of my straw? Did I really forget to put water in here? No and no. They didn't think to include an inlet valve so you can take more than a small sip without damaging your throat with vacuum suction. Even when micro-sipping (cold water is still worth it, right?) it makes a huge ice sloshing sound as it sucks air through the mouthpiece. Soooo disappointed and I really really really wanted to love it and make it the perfect water bottle for my ice water drinking habits especially it's made in the USA. Don't waste $30, just go to Wal-Mart and buy a nice water bottle and be ashamed that you have a water bottle designed in Wal-Mart China.
