So we inherited Pickles from my husband's late mother; and she is at least 15-20 years old. Not surprisingly, she developed kidney disease as she aged; and it affects their bowel movements. We have previously used Epatikin on the advice of our vet for Miles, another kitten who also had kidney disease. It didn't heal him; but it gave him a better quality of life; and perhaps extended his time from 6 months to a year. Pickles has been taking it for about 2 weeks now and has noticed an improvement in both bowel movements and slight weight gain (she needs it). It mixes easily with food as shown in the photos. I wish the manufacturer had included some sort of scoop (I borrowed a lysine scoop) as it's difficult to scoop the product at the bottom of the container. And it's very expensive - almost 30.00 - but worth it; and yet less than what you would pay a veterinarian for the same product.
