Had to break this pump on a very windy and cold day after running into sharp sand on the road . I borrowed a pump from a friend to inflate the tire back to 50psi and switched to this one because the other was more difficult to use at high pressure. After about 20 pumps I pulled the grip/piston right out of the body rendering it completely useless. core of my Continental tubes and began to bleed as I unscrewed the hose from the valve, robbing me of all the progress we had just made. If I didn't go with a friend it would be a disaster.
