The seemed like a good solid level at first, but there are a few problems with it. First, is that the level is only designed to be used on one side-there is only one machined surface. You can try to use the non-machined surface, but it is narrow and wobbly. Having to orient the level to one side all the time is going to get annoying fast. Kapro makes a lot of different levels. This is a very nice heavy-duty product. It is relatively heavy, but very sturdy. There are horizontal and vertical bubble vials that are magnified to make them very easy to read. This particular product is not magnetized and there is no 45 degree vial. Kapro does have products with those features if you need them.

After recently moving, I've been handing endless number of pictures, TV, etc on the wall so I've spent hours leveling items so this product arrived just in time for me to get plenty of use out of it. This is a nice level that appears to be sturdy and well built. The bubbles in mine are not too large and are easy to see. You get large rubber end caps that protect the level and add grip to surfaces that you place the level on. There is also a hand grip on the right side of the level that increases the ease of use. Nice quality large traditional level with a space age look. The surprise with this level is that they figured out how to make the top of the bubble red, rather than clear, and it does make it easier to see. This will be your go-tolevel. I like it.

This is by far the best level I have ever owned. It's precision is unrivaled, and it is made so you can read it from multiple angles. It is also built to last, with high quality casing and cushions at either end.I have had levels get banged up, bent, and become unreadable. Overall, this is kind of bulky. You might find it annoying on a job site if you'd prefer a more rectangular and flat-sided level. I've never needed a ton of contouring or padding in my levels.But it's easy to read and to use, and comfortable to hold.Unlike another reviewer, the bubble in mine was normal sized.This is hard to quantify, but this feels like a high-end product from a low-end brand. I'll use it for hanging photos; not for framing.

This is a nice looking level. Unfortunately the first one I ordered had a loose red plastic lens loose inside. I returned it, got my second one delivered and the same thing, loose plastic red lens. The lens is supposed to reflect onto the bubble for easier reading. Returning this unit also and will buy another brand at a store. Seems like certain items just don't do well being shipped.

I like a number of things about the Kapro 905-41-24 level. It is metal and unlike my old wooden level of the same size, this level won't warp.This level can be hung up from either end and it has a large opening for your hand as it is being used. The level bubbles are easy to see, I especially like that the inside of the bubble chamber is white so it is well lit while using. I had never heard of Kapro before getting my hands on this 24" level. I must say I'm impressed. Very well constructed and made with some unique features. You will immediately see that it's built different than your typical box level. The horizontal vial is tilted at a 45 degree angle toward the user for easier reading. I like the powerful magnets that allow me to stick it on a garage cabinet securely and confidently, accessible yet unobtrusive. My last level was maybe 24” and I always had level envy, not of any in particular. Perhaps at this stage of my handy life I have no real need for it but I don’t care and will enjoy.

You can tell that the team that designed this level do a lot of work in the field. They really have tried to take the level to the next generation. This level has four bubble vials, and this comes in handy upon using different sides of the level. The red tint on the bubbles does indeed make it a little easier to read for my eyes. Excellent level for use at home or by a pro. The bubble levels are very easy to read, and it is just long enough to give you a reliable reading without being too heavy or clumsy. Just right to have around the house for just about everything indoors and out. Buidl feels very solid and well done. Very pleased with this useful, high quality level.

I came across this brand of level in a trade publication I get. Looked them up on Revain and although they were back ordered, the price was ridiculously low. (under $10!) Bought 48" & 24" version as well.As far as the level goes, it is pretty decent quality and I do feel the red background helps if you want to be dead on. The mirrored vial works just as advertised too.

Top notch level as for accuracy, useful ergonomically designed features, and easy to read. Overall surpasses most, if not all, competitors. Get one.

Great level but in the pictures they show a handle and the one I received did not have a handle, I would definitely have liked a handle.

I like this level. Its very easy to read and see. Its long enough to be useful for most thing, but not so long as its hard to store in the workshop.

This level seems to me to be very well built, easy to read, and most important of all, accurate. I have two other 24" levels of varying quality and I noticed that my best one was starting to read a bit off during a kitchen cabinet install. Both I-beam type levels, they have been banged around a bit and both require re-calibration, but one has a bent corner, so will likely hit the bin instead. I'm about to start some major kitchen and laundry room renovations and upgrades and though I have multiple levels of various lengths in my shop, I wanted to sample this Kapro that boasts some easier to use innovations. This is a thing of beauty, for a level that is. Extremely well made. I love the "periscope" viewer of the vertical level bubble. What a great idea. Makes it so easy to see the bubble without hitting your head on the wall in certain cases. Even has a great built in handle. This is what I would call a medium level. I have a very long one and a tiny one. This makes an excellent addition to my tool box.
