I had a VTech phone before and it worked for many years with no problems. I can't say that about this phone. It only lasted 2 weeks and this phone had problems from the start. Even though I turned off voicemail because I have an answering machine through my phone company, the message "New Voicemail" kept coming, even though I turned it off multiple times. The phone also indicated that I missed calls even though I answered the call. Finally, after only 2 weeks, the phone just stopped working. Literally overnight, without any changes to the phone, the message "Out of range or no power at the base" appeared, even though the phone was plugged into the socket. The phone is now unusable because I can no longer make or receive calls.
