This sound box is great. We bought it to record a song and put it in a stuffed animal. At first we couldn't record a song and were just static, but then we realized that while recording a song you CANNOT hold down the little record button on the front of the box. You press it once to start recording and again to stop recording. The instructions say that very clearly. We just covered them up too quickly. Once we grew the brain and read the instructions, everything worked perfectly. And it plays loud enough that you can hear the song clearly once inside the stuffed animal.
