This is an incredibly bad piece of furniture. It arrived unassembled and the boxed portion of the ottoman looked more like a fabric storage basket than a serious piece of furniture. The lid has thin strips around the edges that are dangling and broken in my case. Using it as a footstool will push the strips down and deform the fabric. I would never trust this thing with a child's weight, let alone the claimed 350 pounds. If it had a metal frame inside I would have more confidence in this thing. Whatever it is, it's useless.
