Not as durable as my old one

I had one a few years ago and it was great and has lasted forever. It still worked but didn't look as fresh anymore so I threw it away and ordered another. NOT the same, it looks the same as my old one but the coarse crystals that do all the work have started to flake off leaving slick plastic. Don't worry, especially if you're buying this to replace an older version, pure junk!
