The error code was removed after installation and another appeared. I thought it was irrelevant as it was a slightly different code and after first following all possible scenarios I broke down and bought a Bosch branded OEM box and in fact it worked perfectly. As far as I know the tolerance for out of range sensors on a German engineered vehicle is close to zero. The addition of a Chinese product ensures that you have problems with a sensor not reading data fast enough or with deviations from the parameters.
