We kept stepping on our newest power strip, sometimes bending the plugs, sometimes unplugging everything and forcing ourselves to start everything over again. I finally got through with that and started looking for something safe, but it wouldn't hurt. This tower caught my attention. It had all the power outlets I needed plus a couple of USB ports that we don't use but might one day. I liked that it was a vertical device and had a retractable cord. The cord doesn't pull out very easily, but that's a minor thing. It stays right where we left off pulling it. So far all of the many things we've connected to this tower have worked well. I like that each has their own little surge protector, and I can turn off the switch so absolutely no current flows to one or more different things without disconnecting them. We've only been using this tower for about a month so I don't want to lose my 5 star rating too soon. Although we had power outages and everything was fine. I suspect we'll have plenty more if our New York winters go crazy. If we have any issues with this tower I will update and re-evaluate it. Likewise, if he gets through the winter safely without any problems, I can add one last star. It's so beautiful that there isn't a space-consuming flat annexe lying on the ground waiting to confuse us.
