Overpriced and wasteful packaging

I'll admit the main reason I chose this is because I knew my daughter would love this giant purple dragoon egg. I decided to use makeup on myself and give her an egg with fun things in it. I've tried many beauty products over the years and am not loyal to any particular company. I just prefer to use what works well for me, is reasonably priced, and comes in the colors I want/need/love. . I have very pale skin and redness is often a problem for which the green corrector works best. I can use pink opal powder but yellow topaz looks terrible on my skin. So I decided on a corrector and a powder, which turned out to be suitable. The concealer is a little different than most I've used. It dries very quickly and you need to apply it in very thin layers and blend it out very quickly for it to work well. When you do this, it blends in well and sits well. However, if you apply a little too much, it becomes sticky and doesn't blend well with other makeup. It's a little darker green than I like to use. Most of my green correctors that I've used in the past have been a little lighter. I need to use a really good full opacity base to fully cover the color. I usually get medium coverage with concealer, but not with this one. However, it lasts all day and sits well as long as it's applied lightly. The powders apply well and last all day, the finish is smooth, looks and feels good, I just don't like the yellow cast on me. It's not a cheap set and honestly I don't think it's worth it. Makeup is mediocre in my opinion, and you can get other concealers and powders that work just as well or even better for half the price. An adorable egg is probably pretty much useless to most people, and even then, the box it comes in, along with the form of packaging that holds the makeup items, is just a bunch of wasted materials. The egg could also be a lot smaller and still fit the items inside, or they could make something more useful out of it like a makeup bag with a snap or loops or something. mirror inside? I don't know of anything that gives it more utility and value than something that once opened will likely just send it to the trash.
