I was not happy with how our 20 year old fireplace was looking through the glass doors and thought about window film as a way to cover the dark dingy smoke stains since I have installed film on windows. This is the only film I found that doesn’t require light behind it to show up.It’s doing a great job and works with our decor. But, it is difficult to trim, especially if you end up with narrow excess that needs to be trimmed after adhering the film to the glass. Might cut easier after the film has dried. I used a brand new blade but it was a bit difficult to trim edges. I also have arthritis in my hands and that doesn’t help anything.It’s basically like any other window film I’ve ever used. Same issues but works out in the end. Just don’t look too close at my edges.🤷🏼‍♀️
