I've tried half a dozen different types of sand for my aquariums over the last month. Landen Namale Sand is my favorite. It washed out easily. Not much organic matter or odd smell. Nice neutral color. It's not sharp, but fine enough to satisfy my measles and loaches' digging instincts. Gets settled quickly. Doesn't fog up the tank when malfunctioning and doesn't lift the gravel cleaner. I wish it wasn't so expensive. Such weird questions are asked when you leave a review. transparency and thickness? Yes, there are five stars.
