Unfortunately had to be replaced after 6 months and ended up in landfill, which negates the purchase of an environmentally friendly product. I bought this to replace my plastic toilet brush which I noticed was emitting microplastics into the water. I was mostly satisfied with the immediate effect of this brush, but the bristles became dull and deformed after the first use. It got worse and worse over time until it stopped working. Also, the bristles take too long to dry and become covered with black mold. If you buy this brush you must use a hanger and not a holder so it can dry and the bristles don't break. I've noticed an odd smell coming from the bristles when wet. At first the smell was barely perceptible and didn't bother me when the brush was dry, but it got stronger over time.
