Perfect ballet pink and the same material as the leotard but not soft like pills it's more of an elastic lycra material not a shiny stretch. The material was really perfect. It's thick enough that it doesn't show through, but not too thick that it doesn't stretch. My daughter is 27 pounds and I am the smallest size. It's clear that it's still too big for her, but the strings unraveled slightly and didn't slip at all. At the end of the lesson I just put it on like that, and it must have been comfortable because it didn't pull or try to rearrange itself. Highly recommended!
