Review on πŸ”Š Enhance Your Audio Experience with Yamaha NS-F210BL 2-Way Bass-Reflex Floorstanding Speaker - Each (Black) by David Sidman

Revainrating 5 out of 5

These speakers shine when properly tuned.

. Update: 9/2020. I now have a complete Klipsch Reference 5.1 system. There really is no comparison and I bought my Klipsch floorstanding speakers on sale for only $25 each. There is no getting around the physics: a large loudspeaker will always sound better than a small one. I would only recommend them for apartment installation and they would be good for that. If you have space, get something bigger. I have used these speakers for 3 years in my 5.1 system with matching Yamaha Series speakers, Polk PSW505 subwoofer and Sony STR-DN850 receiver. Overall I'm very happy with their performance and the Yamaha speakers in general. My home theater room isn't very large, so they fill the room well with clear, detailed sound. You'll hear nuances in the soundtrack that you haven't heard before. From the size of the driver it should be clear that these are not full-range speakers and a subwoofer is required. However, this is pretty much the norm these days, even with larger drivers. However, they themselves have a surprisingly good bass size, but it's not impressive. These speakers are perfect for home theater when placed correctly. This is helped by the auto-calibration of the receiver and the Polk subwoofer, which sounds fantastic, delivers low frequencies and even harmonises with the wood grain and silver trim on the front. Together, the sound is clear, detailed, immersive and powerful. When used with music they are very impressive. Larger speakers are likely to round out the sound, but again the auto-calibration toggles the crossover, so the sound works very well with a subwoofer. Yes, I was tempted to turn up the volume, but every time I boot up my system I am reminded of how great it sounds. I think it would be a diminishing return to get anything else at this point, especially for the price.

Pros
  • . Good workmanship.
Cons
  • . No.
