Unfortunately this didn’t work as well for us. 1st, the light strip isn’t long enough for the circumference of a average basketball hoop. But, it would definitely work for hoops that are for toddlers. Secondly the control buttons are on the opposite side of the solar panel which then makes a problem when you want to change the light mode because then you have to remove the solar box from its secured position to do so. It would’ve just been much easier to have put the buttons on the sides. Or better yet, put ALL the light settings on the controller and not just some. Which leads to my final complaint about this not all the settings are on the controller.In the end I hung up the light around the hoop found all these flaws and it looks decent. I made sure I put the light strip around the front of the hoop instead of the rear ends of it (or closer to the base) so it seems as though the light is all around it. And I must admit it does look cool for some late night shooting. My son still loves it and doesn’t want to return it so we’re going to stick with it.
