I've read other negative reviews, really looked at the photos and felt you could make it work if zips were just 1- 2 times a year are required. The door is protected only by plastic parts, which, it turns out, can "flex” enough under pressure from an angry cat (OR PET), and the door opens. If I hadn't used the zippers on one side of the door, the entire door would have fallen out of its bracket while cruising the freeway at 75 mph. If the cat gets out, it could lead to an accident. Instead I had to drive for an hour and keep the door closed while driving. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should this be purchased or used for a long journey or for restless pets. It is NOT SAFE FOR ANIMALS. AN ANIMAL CAN TAKE, TAKE AND LEAVE FOREVER. ******* THIS ITEM SHOULD NOT BE SOLD, PERIOD! ****** I returned it.
