They will not fit the original soda maker, it says nowhere

They will not fit the original soda maker, even if you remove or attempt to install the black base on the machine. through a hole in the ground. It just doesn't fit and they don't say it on the box or on the listing. I tore open the packaging and washed it before using it. I thought it would work with soda but NOT gas! See picture of its defects. :(
