Apple did the worst thing they could do when they released the M1 chip for their MacBook Air and MacBook Pro laptops, they made it so that it only used 1 monitor at a time could become . . Well, that's a lifesaver for your MacBook. Before trying this dock, I tried a few others that were much more expensive, including the CalDigit 3 Plus, which Apple sells for $249 and claims to be compatible with the M1 chip. THAT DOES NOT WORK. I contacted Apple and they told me that it is absolutely impossible to have two monitors with the new M1 chip, except for the Apple Mini, as there is no screen associated with it. I'm here to tell you, if you want dual screens on your 2020 MacBook Air M1 (A2337), THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED. 5 minutes to set up and download a driver and now I have two screens to use when working from home. The best thing is the price and the thing works!
