Review on πŸ”‹ WZRELB 5000W 12V Pure Sine Wave Power Inverter - Solar, RV, DC to AC Power by Brandon Mcvey

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Exceeding the rated power.

Tested a 5000w inverter to start a 3/4hp motor but the inverter resets for a few seconds then restarts bringing the voltage from zero to 50 V and then rose to 120V. It is not good to start the electronics from zero and then to the full voltage of 120V. The inverter has to run at full 120V before the electronic device is connected, but as the inverter resets and then restarts, this causes the device to pull from zero and then gradually up to 120V. After that, however, the inverter continued to work and continued to start the engine. Strangely, the inverter hummed a bit when the engine was running. My 3500w EDECOA pure sine wave inverter did not do this at all and started and ran the motor perfectly with no hum. Perhaps the load circuit of this WZRELB brand is too sensitive. I've tried this brand's 3000w inverter before and it wouldn't even start the engine. Based on my experience with this brand I wouldn't recommend buying it or buying way, way, way more power than you think you need; however, you then have to reckon with their higher standby power consumption. It seems another reviewer had the same issue when he "opened his fridge". However, the manufacturer has been very responsive in their communication, so I'm adding one star to the rating.
