This is exactly what I was looking for: a cup warmer with a rim to avoid burns, a switch I can control, no automatic timer and very cheap. It also has a light so you know if it's on or off. The only poor quality design of this item is that the switch is on a cord and not on the unit itself and the bottom of the unit gets very hot and may melt the wooden table top. I usually use it on a strong hard plastic table so it can't burn. Edit: I tested it on a wooden table and it didn't cause any problems. However, the hot spot left by this product is still surprisingly hot. Keep thin plastic and paper away from this item.
