These things are great. I bought 4 pairs to wear under my pants every day at work. Sometimes I kneel to sample equipment, and during shifts I kneel on smooth concrete to pick up objects off the floor. I'm not sure how they will hold up when worn where they will be in direct contact with concrete. Worn under pants, they seem to last more than a year. They are so cheap that they can be replaced without hesitation if necessary. I wash them after every use and all 4 pairs seem to be holding up well after about 4 washes each. Nothing out of the ordinary, just throw them in with my floral wash and dry load. I have previously used a set of Lowe's Velcro Padded Knee Pads. They held but sometimes caused rashes or abrasions under my knees. These problems do not exist with these Amazon shopping style pads. Would definitely buy again as "kneaded"!
