Review on Home Basics Stainless Mechanical Thermometer by Anthony Lowery

It would be easier to write a review if I could learn how to calibrate and then use it. Looks great, the dial is clearly visible. You can probably see my question below: how to calibrate, as well as the manufacturer's answer. I was told to use the "ice water method". The problem is that the lowest temperature the thermometer shows is 130 F. Far from the 32 indicated by the manufacturer! Also, like other similar thermometers I've had, there isn't a small screw on the back that you would normally turn to perform a calibration.
